Rainbow Juice, an ode to the winemaker’s wife, is a “skin-contact rosé.” We know, we know – all rosé is technically skin-contact, but this wine is predominantly based around white grapes that co-ferment and see maceration. Take the Pinot Gris and Gewürtz, the real hearts of the wine, they are co-fermented together for 6 days and then aged in stainless steel. The Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay see a week on their skins before going into 500L oak puncheons. All that juice then gets blended and bottled with 2% Syrah to give it that beautiful blush coloring. So we think this wine sits firmly in-between the two categories, stretching both and making room for itself on every shelf.
