Hudson Navigator

  • The Hudson Navigator is nestled in the heart of Hudson’s historic district and offers quiet and luxurious lodging for the discerning traveller.  This stately residence has been meticulously restored to its former glory in the spring of 2024, showcasing both its period-specific architecture and maritime heritage highlighted by original stained glass windows, custom renovated bathrooms and soothing fireplaces amongst its many amenities.

Originally envisioned by architect M.J. O’Connor in 1900, this venerable 9-suite Victorian epitomizes the Queen Anne tradition. From its intricate parquet floors to enchanting leaded and stained glass windows, every detail exudes timeless elegance. The grand three story staircase, designed by O’Connor, was finally completed to the architect’s vision in 2024 and adds a touch of majesty to the space as you enter.

When the building was originally built it was utilized as the convent for the Sisters of St. Mary’s Academy before evolving into various forms of community housing. In the late 1900s, it underwent a significant renovation, emerging as The Country Squire Bed & Breakfast. Later, it transformed into the esteemed Batterby House.
