What brought you to Hudson, and how long have you been here?
I’ve been a fan of Hudson since I was a child. I grew up a few towns over but I haven’t lived here full time since I was 11! I’ve watched Hudson transform over the years, I love the originality and creativity of all the businesses and I think it is the perfect place to showcase my designs.
What’s it like being a part of Hudson’s business community?
I’m elated to be a part of Hudson’s Business community. I’ve been talking about it for a long time and I only hear the best things about the area and the businesses that shape it.
What makes Hudson unique from other places you’ve lived or worked?
What makes Hudson so unique is the quality and uniqueness of the businesses. It inspires me. Its reminiscent of a beautiful European city where the attention to detail in window and store displays does not go unnoticed. Where you can find things you wouldn’t dream of finding anywhere else. Most places you would find one or two shops that embody that spirit but in Hudson its an artistic explosion of fantastic galleries and beautifully curated shops.
What is one thing visitors to Hudson shouldn’t miss while they’re here?
I love taking a walk all the way down Warren to the waterfront for the views of the Catskills.
Whatโs your idea of a perfect weekend in and around Hudson?
A perfect weekend in Hudson for me would consist of strolling around. Popping into every gallery and shop in between brunch, cocktails and dinner as well as a walk up to Olana!
What is your favorite memory of being in Hudson (so far)?
I have a very fond memory of coming home from college and meeting one of my childhood best friends in Hudson to hit up our favorite vintage stores. We would shop and then go to the diner. This started my collection of garments ranging from the 1890’s to 1950’s that I cherish.
